What is lifestyle medicine?
Lifestyle medicine emphasizes evidence-based interventions—such as a whole-food, plant-predominant diet, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoiding harmful substances, and nurturing social connections—to prevent, manage, and sometimes even reverse chronic diseases.

  • For example, intensive lifestyle interventions led to a 58% reduction in type 2 diabetes incidence, outperforming metformin treatment at 31%
  • Lifestyle medicine has the potential to address up to 80% of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension
