Myself and Joanna are so excited to announce a big project called SMASH 2026! This didn’t begin as a programme idea. It started in my own life. After more than twenty years working with patients, I’ve seen again and again how stress shapes people’s health. It affects everything from hormones, digestion, immunity, inflammation, mood, memory, recovery. I’ve watched it flare symptoms in people with chronic conditions, slow healing, and leave people feeling as if their bodies were working against them. And at the same time, I’ve seen people with incredibly difficult health challenges stay calm, strong, focused, and even thrive under pressure. Not because they were “better” or luckier, but because their bodies had more capacity to recover.
Somewhere along the way, while I was supporting other people, I realised I was trying to figure all of this out for myself too. My own process of going through health coaching, and the conversations I’ve had through the podcast, have turned my life around in ways I didn’t expect. They helped me see what truly supports resilience and what slowly erodes it. They helped me understand my own patterns, where I was pushing too hard, and where I was unintentionally creating strain. That experience changed me, and it made me want to offer others the same insight and clarity.
That’s really where SMASH 2026 came from. Not because anyone needs more data, but because most of us need a clearer way of understanding what’s actually happening inside our bodies. Wearables can give you a recovery score, but they don’t show the whole picture. We have created a programme that will drive long-term stress resilience using technology called Firstbeat which does something different: it shows what’s happening in your system in real time. When your stress suddenly spikes. When your body drops into recovery. When a small moment drains you more than you realise. When something simple restores you. And when you combine this with a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM), you begin to see how food, sleep, stress, movement, and the pace of your life all interact.
And this is important no matter what health condition someone is dealing with. Every disease process, whether hormonal, inflammatory, autoimmune, neurological, or simply the long-term effects of chronic stress, reacts to strain. When the overall load on the body is high, symptoms flare and recovery slows. When the load decreases, the body gains more capacity to heal, repair, regulate, and stabilise. That’s what this is really about. Not eliminating stress, but understanding your own physiology well enough that you can reduce the unnecessary strain and support your body to cope better with the strain that does exist.
For many people, the moment they start to see their own patterns is the moment everything begins to change. They finally understand why they crash at certain times of day, why their symptoms worsen after certain types of stress, why they feel wired but tired at night, or why their recovery doesn’t seem to match their effort. And once they can see it, they can do something about it.
SMASH 2026 is built to give you that kind of clarity. It’s personal, it’s supportive, and it’s grounded in what I’ve learned after thousands of cases and my own journey. We’re keeping it small so we can guide people properly, not just hand over data.
If you want 2026 to be the year you finally understand your body more deeply, reduce the strain on your system, and build the kind of resilience that lets you live well no matter what else you’re carrying, we would genuinely love to have you with us. We will also be doing a free talk on January the 5th at 6pm on resilience and to introduce the programme.
Programme Details
You will be provided with a Firstbeat device to track your heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV), helping you analyse stress, recovery, and exercise. The device also monitors movement and accurately calculates training load, excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), and calories burned.
We keep the group small to ensure you receive personalised guidance. We will meet once a month, always on the 2nd Monday of each month for 6 months, from 6:00–7:30 PM via Zoom. Our first session is on 12th January at 6:00 PM.
Workshops will provide insights on resilience, exercise, recovery, and sleep, and we will spend time reviewing your data to help you optimise your health and performance.
